Who is on the 21 Day Challenge? We spend 5 minutes with our participants to find out more about who they are and what they do.
My day starts at 3:30 am when my alarm goes off. I'm at the radio station by about 4:15 am and then on-air from 5:30 am until 10:00 am. I'm usually home by about noon. I have a short nap (no more than 20 minutes) and then I run or bike.
I am active for at least an hour a day, 6 days a week. I do an 8 km to 10 km run every other day. On the alternating days I walk or bike. All of my fitness training is cardio. Although I know I need to, I do absolutely NO weight training. I'd like to change that.
I can't think of a food I'd really, really miss - but I'm struggling with how I'm going to eliminate my daily coffee(s) during the challenge. Coffee is the thing that makes it easy for me to get out of bed at 3:30 am. I'm never lacking energy so it's not like I'm drinking it for the caffeine - I just LOVE the way it tastes!
I have no trouble sticking to a 1-hour daily fitness routine provided I'm in control of where and when. Outside of my on air-shift, my daily schedule is pretty loose. When I have free time that's when I want to work out. When I have to go out of my way to get to a fitness class or I have to wait until late in the day to do it, that's when I just go back to running or biking because I can do it when I'm ready and it's convenient.
To drop a few more pounds and to tone up. I don't have to look like a bodybuilder but I'd like some definition.
