Who is on the 21 Day Challenge? We spend 5 minutes with our participants to find out more about who they are and what they do.

Graham Hicks is a freelance Edmonton Sun journalist, an entrepreneur, family man, lover of good food  and commentator.  His full-time journalism career with the Edmonton Sun, from 1981 until he retired in 2010, was spent thinking, talking and dreaming about the city in which he has lived and worked for 37 years, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Describe your typical day:

Wake up at 6 am and make it to the office downtown by 8:30 am, if I am not working from home. Afternoons are mostly spent in meetings, chores and volunteer activities. After 5 pm I try to head to the gym if I do not have any events to attend.

How would you describe your current fitness regime?

Good but inconsistent.

What is one meal/food that you can't live without?

Lunch or Dinner.

What are the biggest challenges you experience in trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

Being consistent with exercise, discipline in eating - especially as a food reviewer and hobby cook. Also being a lover of good wine doesn't help.

What fitness goals are you hoping to achieve by being on the 21 Day Challenge?

Consistency, discipline, and working towards achieving fitness goals that are appropriate for my age and lifestyle.
