Green beans have a lot more going for them than just being delicious. Sometimes called string beans, green beans are a superfood that’s packed with vitamins and minerals. 

Green beans are loaded with vitamin K, manganese, vitamin C, calcium, potassium, and much more. They’re also great for bone health and the healthy formation of connective tissue.

To get the most out of your green beans, we recommend steaming them for 5 minutes. This will bring out all of the flavour and provide the moisture necessary to make them tender. Be careful not to over-steam your beans, as they can quickly become mushy.
